這幾個禮拜的生活只有混亂可以形容。
》stupid ups …
‧sunday night: made an oklahoma city to boston shipment on ups.com. it was for the suitcase that mom and dad will be taking home for me.
‧monday morning: the ups man came and picked up the package.
‧tuesday morning: the ups man delievered a huge package at my doorstep — it was my suitcase! had to call the ups customer center to find out what went wrong. after three hours of many stressful calls and a visit to the nearest ups store, they finally got the suitcase on its way to boston.
‧thursday afternoon: the suitcase arrived at evan's place. finally.
》guess it's official now …
‧sent amy an e-mail about my leave around 8:30 wednesday night. thought she would wait until i went into the newsroom thursday to talk more about it, but she called right away. she said she's sorry i've been in pain, and she understands that i gotta do what i gotta do. she joked about giving my a raise or promotion.
‧later sent grace, caroline, jennifer, beth and ronisha a note. told them it was (and is) a pleasure working with them, and though i don't think i will miss the dark tower, i sure will miss them.
‧grace said: awwww… i will miss you SO much! be sure and keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. 🙂 i want you well!!
‧caroline said: well my heart is broken. we will miss you so so much. and we'll all be so sad. but you'll get better and i know you'll come back. haha. yeah right!
‧jennifer said: we'll miss you dearly, but i'm really glad you're going to do what you need to do. i'm still sorry that you're sick, and I hope you get better soon!
‧beth said: AWWWWW!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!!!! i'm sorry to hear about your health problems. i can sympathize, though. it's sad to see you leave, but I know you'll get better and you'll come back! or it would be awesome to visit you in taiwan. let's see if i ever have that much money. 🙂 i can bring your dad a durian. hehe
‧ronisha said: are you serious? you mean leaving leaving? i don't believe this! how am i suppose to work without you here? i wanna cry now.
‧they are not just the people i work with, they've become my friends. i will miss grace's sweet gestures, caroline's hilarious comments, jennifer's office inappropriate notes, beth's loud laughters and phone calls, and ronisha's out of no where questions. without them, i would not have made it this far. but as i said, i'm just an e-mail away. and there's always facebook! 😉
